Student Cards

Student Cards for University Students of Abruzzo have been made available thanks to a collaborative effort between the Universities of L’Aquila, Chieti-Pescara and Teramo with Bper Banca (Bper Bank). The aim is to offer student card-holders all the services provided by their universities and partners adhering to the agreement.

Student Cards can also function as traditional identity cards allowing access to university canteens, library services and all other services offered to students enrolled.

Once issued, Student Cards are valid for five years and remain so even if students change their university career paths (i.e. enroll in a different degree course or in a Master’s after obtaining their Bachelor’s etc.).

Student Cards are personal and contain identification data on the back:

  • name and surname
  • photo
  • date of birth
  • student number
  • QR Code reader

The latter allows easy access to a student’s profile, personal details, student registration number, fiscal code, University Department and Degree course, academic year, using any smartphone or tablet.

Student Cards can also be used for payments, they offer basic bank account functions and are actually prepaid cards with an IBAN code issued by Bper Bank free of charge. For more information regarding student card banking conditions visit www.bper.it - section entitled “Trasparenza” (“2.25 Divisione Consumer - Carta Corrente Universitari Abruzzesi”).

It is important to underline that Student Cards are now the only means for financial transactions between the University and students, and are compulsory to obtain scholarship fund payments or reimbursements on fees or any other type of payment from the University.

To request a Student Card access the online portal Sistema gestione Carta Studenti UnivAQ using your student credentials (the same used to access the online student office). Cards can be retrieved at Bper Bank normally about four weeks after the student’s request is completed.

At the moment, certain online services have been made available for students via the University’s online portal at Sistema gestione Carta Studenti UnivAQ and can be accessed using your student credentials:

  • Software and services to download Microsoft software made available by the University
  • Consult your study programme online, allowing students to view their university careers online
  • Consult your attendence, allowing students to check their presence/absences at lessons – for Degree courses requiring compulsory attendance (trials underway)
