Thanks to the conductor ‘Maestro’ Raffaello Angelini, the University of L’Aquila’s Choir was re-established in 2017 opening participation to students, technical-administrative staff and professors. The Choir’s activities promote culture and both choral and instrumental music within the University. The activities and events organised aim at fostering musical awareness and musical training, offered to students, graduates and staff through concerts and other musical events carried out autonomously or as part of ceremonies and events promoted by the University, and also in collaboration with analogous university organizations in Italy and in other European countries.
The Choir’s repertoire springs from active research and creative re-elaboration of Abruzzo’s traditional popular and cultured musical heritage, liberally spanning various musical genres and styles. Students enrolled in any of the University’s degree courses, together with technical-administrative and teaching staff, may take part in choral activities. Choral singing, in fact, represents a great opportunity for personal and cultural growth which not only promotes an understanding and awareness of our great musical heritage but also develops collaborative team-work skills and emotional management abilities, directing one’s potential towards a common objective.
If you are interested in participating in choir rehearsals held at the Department of Human Studies, Viale Nizza 14, please contact Raffaello Angelini directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org; mobile: 3397492236; WhatsApp: Coro Univaq.
