The University of L’Aquila promotes collaboration and exchange with the corporate world providing the scientific community with support and consultancy in order to enhance intellectual property, individuate optimal financing channels for industrial research and support research spin-offs. Competent offices interact between the University and demands of the community and the corporate world.

In April 2006 our Industrial Liaison Office received funding from the MIUR (Ministry for Education, University and Research) for a project agreement with the University of Rome “La Sapienza” called A24i L’AUTOSTRADA DELL’INNOVAZIONE (A24i The Highway to Innovation).

The aim of the project is to strengthen technology transfer and scientific exchange between these two Universities and to enhance collaboration and communication with the local firms and industries situated in the two Regions, active in aerospace and chemical-pharmaceutical sectors. Other major sectors of interest are electronics, IT and mechanics in the Lazio Region and metal-mechanics, clothing and food in Abruzzo.
