Profilo biografico e professionale

Lucia Bucciarelli ha svolto il suo percorso di formazione universitaria presso l’Università degli Studi dell’Aquila.
Nel 2016 ha conseguito la Laurea magistrale in Filosofia presso il Dipartimento di Scienze umane, con una tesi su Galileo Galilei.
Durante la preparazione della tesi ha manifestato l'interesse per la ricerca. Di qui la scelta di presentare un progetto di ricerca per svolgere un dottorato presso l'Università di Oxford. A marzo 2017 ha ricevuto comunicazione di essere stata selezionata per il corso triennale di Doctor of Philosophy in “History of Science and Medicine” presso il Department of History dell'Università di Oxford, a partire da ottobre 2017.
In continuità con gli studi iniziati all’Aquila, il progetto di ricerca sul quale lavorerà a Oxford verterà su uno studio parallelo di Galileo e Newton, guidata da Robert Iliffe, studioso di Newton e professore di storia della scienza dell'Università di Oxford, e da John Heilbronn, studioso di Galileo e Professor Emeritus di storia della scienza dell'Università di Berkeley e Honorary Fellow del Worcester College, Università di Oxford.
