The Choir of the University of L'Aquila is open to the participation of students, teachers, and technical-administrative staff interested in the virtuous experience of a cappella choral singing.
The choir activity aims to promote the choral music culture within the University, with particular attention to a cappella choral music, according to various musical styles, with a preference for vocal pop.
Together with the choral practice, the activities of the choir include the study of the choral repertoire through proactive listening that helps to develop the musical ear, to reconnect with oneself, and to socialize.
The experience of choral singing represents an opportunity for cultural and personal growth which, in addition to favoring a direct knowledge of the great heritages of musical culture, develops the ability to work in groups and manage emotions, putting one's potential at the service of a common goal. Since November 2019, the choir director is prof. Raffaele D’Ambrosio, professor at our University.
The Choir of the University of L'Aquila meets every Tuesday at 7 pm on the Teams platform. If you wish to join, you can contact the choir director, prof. Raffaele D’Ambrosio, at the e-mail address raffaele.dambrosio@univaq.it.
